Cette vis à tête cylindrique à six pans creux mesure 8 mm de long et possède un filetage M5 x 0,8 mm [entièrement fileté]. Fabriquée en acier inoxydable A2 [équivalent 304 SS], elle offre une excellente résistance à la corrosion en environnements secs et humides.

La pointe en coupe et l'acier inoxydable A2 (équivalent à l'acier inoxydable 304) augmentent sa résistance à la pression et offrent une résistance à la traction et une dureté de 70 000 psi (Rockwell B70). De plus, il présente une résistance au cisaillement de 42 000 psi.
